Your First Visit

  • Please print and complete the Client Information form and bring it to your first visit.
  • By Maryland law, your pet must have visited a veterinarian within 14 days of beginning acupuncture. You’ll need to:
    • bring me a letter or receipt from the vet, and
    • an up-to-date copy of your pet’s rabies vaccination form.
  • On the day of your appointment, please wait for me with your pet at the top of the driveway near the garden gate – or by your car – until I’ve safely escorted any departing clients (see Location/Directions).
  • Our first visit will take about an hour (subsequent visits about 30 minutes). We’ll review your pet’s situation and I’ll give him or her an initial treatment. For more about what treatment is like, see Frequently Asked Questions.
  • Finally, we’ll schedule follow-up appointments, as needed. Typically, between three and eight sessions are required to show a benefit, depending on the severity and duration of the challenges your pet is facing.
